Il rema, dal greco rh\u00eama “parola, verbo”, contiene le informazioni pi\u00f9 dinamiche, cio\u00e8 pi\u00f9 pertinenti per l’obiettivo comunicativo. Il tema invece fornisce informazioni meno dinamiche che servono ad ancorare il rema a una situazione o a un referente specifico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Every Italian sentence is divided into two functional parts: the tema<\/em><\/strong> (what we’re talking about) and the rema<\/strong><\/em><\/strong> (what we say about the tema<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/em>). The tema<\/em>, from Greek rh\u00eama “word, verb”, contains the most dynamic information, that is, most relevant to the communicative goal. The tema<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/em> instead provides less dynamic information that serves to anchor the rema<\/strong><\/em> to a specific situation or referent.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Consideriamo questi esempi:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nel primo caso, “il mio cellulare” \u00e8 tema e “non funziona pi\u00f9” \u00e8 rema. Nel secondo, “non mi funziona pi\u00f9” \u00e8 tema e “neanche il cellulare” diventa rema perch\u00e9 rappresenta le informazioni nuove relative al tema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the first case, “il mio cellulare” is tema<\/em><\/strong><\/em> and “non funziona pi\u00f9” is rema<\/strong><\/em>.
