A few observations worth internalising: l’<\/em> is unisex in the singular but splits back apart in the plural (gli<\/em> for masculine, le<\/em> for feminine). Le<\/em> never elides, so le amiche<\/em> keeps the full form. And gli<\/em> covers two masculine plural roles: the plural of lo<\/em> and the plural of l’<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
