Lezione 1 – Lettura
I racconti di Giorgio Scerbanenco
Lettura: Lettura di alcuni brevissimi racconti di Scerbanenco, scrittore milanese del genere Noir italiano.
Conversazione: Seguirà una conversazione moderata dall’insegnante sul contenuto dei racconti.
Esercizio: Gli studenti potranno completare un quiz in classe insieme all’insegnante.
Dopo la lezione: Gli studenti dovranno fare un compito online. L’insegnante lo correggerà. Il compito è accessibile dalla vostra pagina personale.
Lezione 2 – Vocabolario
Alcuni importanti connettivi
Vocabolario: I connettivi sono importantissime parole che servono ad articolare e dare significato a frasi semplici e complesse. Ne abbiamo scelti alcuni per voi.
Conversazione: Seguirà una conversazione moderata dall’insegnante sull’uso delle espressioni imparate.
Esercizio: Gli studenti potranno completare un quiz in classe insieme all’insegnante, relativo ai connettivi.
Dopo la lezione: Gli studenti dovranno completare un compito online legato al nuovo vocabolario.
Lezione 3 – Grammatica
Comparativi e Superlativi
Grammatica: Studieremo l’uso dei comparativi e superlativi ad un livello avanzato (congiuntivo, irregolarità, espressioni della lingua parlata).
Conversazione: Seguirà una conversazione moderata dall’insegnante con esempi e pratica.
Esercizio: Gli studenti potranno completare un quiz in classe insieme all’insegnante, relativo ai comparativi e ai superlativi.
Dopo la lezione: Gli studenti dovranno completare un compito online. L’insegnante lo correggerà.
Lezione 4
Prova di ascolto
Ascolto: Prova di ascolto selezionata dall’insegnante. Domande di comprensione e discussione sul vocabolario nuovo.
Conversazione: Seguirà una conversazione con l’uso delle strutture imparate durante il dialogo.
Esercizio: Gli studenti potranno completare un quiz in classe insieme all’insegnante relativo alla prova di ascolto. Come sempre, il quiz è accessibile dalla vostra pagina personale.
Dopo la lezione: Gli studenti dovranno completare un compito online. L’insegnante lo correggerà.
Alla fine di questo ciclo di lezioni, immediatamente dalla settimana successiva, seguirà automaticamente un nuovo ciclo di 4 lezioni: LETTURA → VOCABOLARIO → GRAMMATICA → ASCOLTO … e così via.
Si può interrompere, entrare o uscire dal corso in qualsiasi momento.

Why “Quattro Chiacchiere”?
“Quattro chiacchiere”, literally “four chats” in Italian, can be translated as “chit-chatting.” The primary objective of the course is to achieve natural fluency in spoken Italian, guided by a native teacher and within a small group of students. Each class is 55 minutes long.
The number 4 is central to the course’s logic: there are 4 new lessons every 4 weeks, up to 4 students per class, and 4 abilities (reading, vocabulary, grammar, listening) all revolving around conversation, which constitutes the primary activity during the class.
Is This Course for Me?
The course is specifically designed for intermediate and advanced Italian language students. Communicative skills will be strengthened through four key activities: reading, vocabulary, grammar, and listening. If you share this vision, you are welcome to join.
When Does the Course Start and End?
The course offers flexible entry, subject to seat availability in our classes. Please look at the bottom of this page for more information regarding the calendar. We recommend securing a seat using the application form below now. Additionally, every four weeks, four new lessons will be introduced. You can join at any point since the classes are not rigidly tied to specific lesson points.
What Material Do I Need to Study?
Each student will have access to study materials such as articles, quizzes, listening tests, and assignments, all of which will be corrected by the teacher. All lessons can be accessed from your personal page and studied at any time after publication. Every four weeks, four new lessons will be added.
How Much Does the Course Cost? How Does Payment Work?
The course is priced at $99 every four weeks, and the payment is set to occur automatically. You have the flexibility to cancel or suspend your enrollment at any time with just a simple click through your personal page. You can easily control your subscription and manage it according to your preferences.
We are a group of students. Can we join?
Yes. Please submit your request in the comments. We can arrange a private class with a dedicated day and time.

Availability for USA-Canada (& Australia)
Today, we will only accept course enrollment applications. A written confirmation will follow via email as soon as the classes are formed. Applications will be accepted until all seats are filled. Payment will be requested only at a later time.
For the US, Canada and Australia (in brackets), there will be three options:
- Every Sunday Afternoon (Monday morning NSW)
FIRST CLASS Sunday, April 14
- Every Thursday Afternoon (Friday Morning NSW)
FIRST CLASS Thursday, May 9 & 12
Schedule for Australia will be one calendar day after the US.
