Are there any prerequisites for this course?
The prerequisites are flexible, as we will review some basic structures introduced in Level A1. However, if you are not comfortable with basic present tense usage, or struggle with fundamental vocabulary (e.g., describing other people and their actions, daily routines), you may consider revisiting the A1 course: Pronti!.
Ideally, you should meet the following prerequisites for this course:
- Daily routines and common activities: You should be able to describe your daily routine using present tense verbs, including reflexive verbs (e.g., *svegliarsi*, *lavarsi*), and talk about activities like work and leisure at a basic level.
- Describing people and objects: You should be able to use adjectives to describe physical appearance, personality and everyday objects, and understand how to match adjectives in gender and number.
- Expressing likes and dislikes: You should know how to express preferences using the verb *piacere* and related phrases.
- Understanding directions and basic shopping: You should be able to ask for and give directions, use prepositions of place, and handle basic shopping conversations. We will review and delve deeper into these details in A2.
- Talking about past experiences: You should have a basic understanding of the passato prossimo tense for discussing past events.
- Elementary listening and speaking skills: You should be able to understand and participate in simple conversations on everyday topics, speaking in clear, slow Italian.
